2. What data we process
Server logs
When you visit the site, our hosting provider’s servers automatically record technical information such as your IP address, date and time of the request, the page requested, referring URL, browser type and operating system. This is needed to deliver the site and keep it secure.
Cookies
This site runs on WordPress. Ordinary visitors are generally not served tracking cookies by us. WordPress may set strictly necessary cookies, for example for logged-in administrators or when a comment form is used, and our hosting provider may set technical cookies for security, load balancing or performance. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies on this site.
Outbound clicks to the advertiser
Links to PackChecklist.com include a click identifier and campaign parameters in the URL. When you follow such a link, the advertiser receives these parameters together with the usual technical data your browser sends. This allows the referral to be attributed to this site. Once you are on the advertiser’s site, its own privacy policy applies.
Phone and postal enquiries
If you contact us by phone or post, we process your name, contact details and the content of your enquiry in order to respond.
3. Legal bases
- Legitimate interests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR): operating, securing and improving the website, server logging, and attributing referrals to the advertiser.
- Consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR): where required, for example for loading embedded third-party content. You can withdraw consent at any time.
- Steps prior to a contract or legitimate interests: answering your enquiries.
- Legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR): where we must retain data under applicable law.
4. Retention
Server logs are kept for a limited period, typically no longer than 30 days, unless longer retention is needed to investigate a security incident. Enquiry records are kept only as long as necessary to handle the enquiry and any follow-up, and in any case no longer than required by law.
5. Third parties
- Hosting provider: processes server data on our behalf to deliver the site.
- Google Fonts (Google Ireland Ltd. / Google LLC): fonts are loaded from Google’s servers, which receive your IP address and browser information.
- Google Maps: our Contact page embeds a Google Maps map. Loading it transmits data, including your IP address, to Google, which may set its own cookies.
- The advertiser (PackChecklist.com): receives the click identifier and technical data when you follow a link to its site.
YouTube videos: some articles contain embedded YouTube videos, a service provided by Google. They are loaded in privacy-enhanced mode from youtube-nocookie.com. When you play a video, YouTube and Google may set cookies and process data, including your IP address and viewing activity, under Google’s own privacy policy.
Some of these providers may transfer data outside the European Economic Area. Where this happens, transfers rely on appropriate safeguards such as an adequacy decision or the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have inaccurate data rectified;
- have data erased in certain circumstances;
- restrict processing in certain circumstances;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests;
- data portability, where processing is based on consent or a contract and carried out by automated means;
- withdraw consent at any time, without affecting earlier processing.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. In Bulgaria this is the Commission for Personal Data Protection (CPDP), 2 Prof. Tsvetan Lazarov Blvd., Sofia 1592, www.cpdp.bg. You may also contact the authority in your EU country of residence.
7. How to contact us
To exercise your rights or ask about this policy, contact Elestra by post at 52A Dr. G. M. Dimitrov Blvd., Sofia 1797, Bulgaria, or by phone at +359 888 895 643. We may need to verify your identity before responding.
8. Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always published on this page with its “Last updated” date.
